Lymphoma Journey

Welcome To My Journey

Update

July 8, 2020 By Liz Miles

Good morning everyone
Rough night… getting up every 45-60 minutes to go to the bathroom – does not make a night of good sleep.
Also I did not anticipate that a side effect of the chemo medication would be muscle pain. It really hurt between my shoulder blades….heat pad and Tylenol helped. The charge nurse spent time with me explaining some of the other, less talked about, side effects of the chemo treatment and with muscle pains being one of them…
I had no appetite last night…. But wanting to eat this morning
Looks like I may get out of the hospital Saturday or Sunday….depends on my kidney function.
I also found that one of the reasons BAH does not do this chemo treatment regimen is that it is very risky and that, if something went wrong, this hospital already has all needed medical interventions in place where BAH would maybe have to transfer the patient up to here. So we will continue with the plan to have treatments up here at OHSU. It’s going to be a long year….
I hope everyone is doing well. Thank you for your continued support…I appreciate it and need it…
Love Liz
